Mothering through breastfeeding is the most natural and effective way of understanding and satisfying the needs of your baby. Breastfed babies are healthiest, with fewer allergies, respiratory illnesses and gastrointestinal problems. Today it is possible for mothers who must return to work to continue to enjoy the breastfeeding relationship.
We are here to help you mother your baby through breastfeeding. Though breastfeeding is natural, many women find they benefit from information and support. Getting to know other nursing women can be helpful and reassuring. La Leche League of Fresno and Clovis offers several ways to support women on their breastfeeding journey. We offer phone support by accredited La Leche League Leaders and monthly mother to mother support group meetings. Occasionally we offer specialty meetings with enrichment topics and participate in additional community outreach activities. Check our calendar of events for more information.
